Typical, isn't it? I leave dA for a week, and then the most perfect contest comes along.

It has come at one of the worst times too.

I am drowning in assignments (hence why I left dA for this month), have already had one night of staying up for 36 hours to get one project done, I have the rest of my work to do this weekend, and to top it all, I have fallen ill today!
Yet, somehow, the urge to enter this contest would not go away. The thought that it would be impossible for me to take a couple of hours off to try and produce something for it just drove me to tears (weirdo that I am)


So, this is my entry. I wish I could do more, and as a final nail in the coffin I spilled carmine ink all over it just as I was finishing >:c Though, thankfully, it kinda works with the image.

This is Shiranui. Based upon the story at the start of the game, of Shiranui's battle with Orochi. I chose to illustrate her as a regular white wolf, without the disk or special glow. Based highly upon the lines:
"Shiranui, covered in gashes, majestic coat dyed crimson, stood exhausted before the mighty Orochi.
... But Shiranui refused to give in."


I thought it fairly apt for the situation I'm in. Shiranui knows she can't win, yet fights on regardless.

ALSO, TO JUDGES, The resolution for this picture really confused me. 2550 x 3300 is remarkabley huge, and is too big of a file size to actually upload. I can provide such, but I would need to be contacted for it. I hope that's alright! I don't see another way around it.
