...but you've got a secret smile, and you use it only for me.
- Secret Smile, Semisonic.
No idea why, but I got that song stuck in my head today. I didn't even know the lyrics (aside the chorus) nor the name of the artist/band, but well, I do now, ahaha.
So I wanted to draw something floaty and airguitary (even though the song isn't very noticably guitary).
NOT as good as the last picture, no, It was going quite well, but I took a chance with the background that did NOT pay off, so ah well, I'm not all that pissed off. It's just one picture, and I'm surprised I could get ANYTHING done before christmas.
Dunno why I keep picking random characters instead of ones I have already made, maybe the restrictions of design. I do like having freedom to draw what I want, in whatever colour, be it a cat, a ferret, a human, etc...
I think maybe that's why most of my pictures will have random characters, they're just a representation of my thoughts or feelings at the time rather than a planned out piece.
LAWLS, DAT WUZ DEEP.
So aye, random cat lad thing. Floating in a sea of pink music...as you do.
Coloured with Prismas.
This wasn't planned out, it isn't anatomically perfect in any sense of the word, but it's not really meant to be.
Very mellow and airguitarish. I'm listening to Nickleback and I gotta say this pic really enhances the experience! I'm loving the pose and background. ^^
the background is my favorite part actually. nice character; if there's anything wrong with it at all, it's that his face is a little bit flat looking, and the angle of his hands sort of makes it look like he'd have to be breaking his guitar over his stomach to play it.
Mmmm that's one of the many aspects of your work that I love. The characters are always a representation of how you're feeling inside. Always random. You don't feel the need to solidify them.
This is gorgeous...the pose is really playful and cute and I LOVE the sherberty pinks and yellows!
the pose is fantastic
